Every student hears horror stories, if they themselves do not have any, of driving school. Adjectives most often used to describe the classes are “boring”, “stupid”, and “dry”. This is, of course, because these unfortunate souls have not been under the tutelage of the great master of automobile education, Mr. B. Even the most disinterested and jaded individual has to admit that he or she learned valuable tricks and safety precautions. Mr. B’s clever mnemonics greatly enhance memory retention of the basic principles of driving. He and his instructors take time to focus on and help each student. Mr. B has taught me everything I know about parking, turns, remaining attentive and general automotive operation. He truly is “the master”. ~Leah Bradley I had so much fun at Mr. B’s Driving School this summer. He is a phenomenal teacher and a caring individual. Mr. B has dedicated an infinite amount of time to help his students learn the necessary skills to be an outstanding driver. I would recommend this driving school over all the other schools in America. Mt. Hebron High School ~Mandy Bintz My experience at Mr. B’s Driving School was the best experience. Mrs. B tries her best to make classroom fun and she does a great job! Mr. B NEVER yells if you make a mistake. Instead, he tells you what you should do next time to fix the mistake. Both Mr. B and Mrs. B treat their students fairly and have a good relationship with them. If a student is in dire need of help, they will try to help if there is any way possible. Also, when they find out that their students have received their licenses, they are very excited. When they find out a student has had an accident and is injured, they feel the pain. Mr. and Mrs. B have to be the most fit for this job because they honestly are caring, compassionate, and helpful towards their students. ~Jenna Hoshall Mr. B- Thanks for taking the time to try and teach me the master’s way of driving. Maybe one day I’ll be close to your level! ~Laura Mayrovitz Thank you so much for your ability to make this class enjoyable! I really enjoyed this class even though I expected it to be boring. I learned a lot and will be sure to drive safely! I will be sure to recommend you to others! Thank you so much again! Your efforts are appreciated! Sincerely, Rebecca Lantz ~Rebecca Lantz Mr. B- Thanks for being an awesome teacher. I have really learned a lot from you and all your driving experience. Thanks again and I look forward to driving with you in the fall. Thanks again- Sarah Robinson ~Sarah Robinson Dear Mr. B, Thank-you so much for your time, patience, and excellent instruction you gave both our sons, George and Mike. Each enjoyed very much learning from you! Now I just have to give Mike the additional hours of practice. Thanks to you I now feel more comfortable riding with Mike! Some day when you have some extra time please enjoy a nice lunch on us. Sincerely, Gail Burgtorf ~Gail Burgtorf Dear Mr. and Mrs. B, Guess what, I got my Learner’s!! I’m really happy right now. I could have never gotten my learner’s without your help. Thanks for everything, including the pizza, drinks, and popcorn. I had a great time and I’ll request your driving school. Thanks again and I’ll be giving you a call soon to drive around with Mr. B. ~Chad Roth After completing driver’s education and receiving my license, I am so happy that I chose Mr. B’s Driving School. I didn’t expect to learn so much about simple and complex driving skills. Mr. and Mrs. B put so much more time and effort into teaching the best techniques of defensive driving. They go the extra mile to improve the learning experience! Mrs. B does a great job of making class fun and interactive so the concepts will “stick” with her students. Mr. B is a patient and thorough driving instructor. Learning his maneuvers is fun and simple; compared to other driving schools that my friends have been to, it’s apparent that Mr. B’s methods are unique. While driving, I feel more confident remembering all that Mr. and Mrs. taught me. I appreciate all of their effort to develop safe drivers. I fully trust Mr. B’s to teach the same great driving skills to my younger brother and sister in the future. ~Katie Rhein I am very glad that our family chose Mr. B's Driving School for our teenage daughter. I believe the defensive driving techniques Katie learned will keep her safe on our dangerous roadways. This establishment and its staff are professional and courteous. My phone calls were returned promptly, and my inquiries answered thoroughly. Since the school was quite a distance from our house, Mrs. B allowed me to sit in on the classroom instructions. Even though I've been driving for 34 years, I was surprised by how much I learned. I found each class to be quite interesting, far from the "boring" driving classes my kids' friends complain about. When my daughter began the practical driving with Mr. B, I was again welcomed to go along for the ride. Since my daughter had been driving for almost a year with over 100 hours of driving experience, Mr. B immediately took her parallel parking, something I never covered. Because his methods are so precise, in a very short time, Katie had this skill mastered. Mr. B went out of his way to show my daughter the MVA course so she would be familiar with it. When test day arrived, Katie felt nervous but confident. She passed her test with only 4 points deducted. The young man before her was there for the second time and lost 15 points (1 more would have been failing). The young lady after Katie failed her test. I feel more comfortable having Katie venture out without me now. Even her younger teenaged sister said that Katie is a good driver and she feels quite safe with her. In fact, even I find myself using all that I learned in the classroom and in the car with both B's! I feel Mr. & Mrs. B have made both my daughter and me into better drivers. When the time comes, I plan to enroll my younger two children into Mr. B's Driving School. Carol S. Green, Finksburg, Maryland ~Carol S. Green Dear Mr. B, I would like to let you know how much I learned as a parent and as an experienced driver when I attended the behind-the-wheel session you had with my son, Jonny. You have an unending supply of patience with you students. You treat each child as if he were your own, with patience and kindness and a touch of humor. I would like to let you know how pleased I am with your style and enthusiasm in teaching my son Driver's Education. You have gone above and beyond in helping my son pass the permit test. I thank you and so does my son. Sincerely, Christine Friedman ~Christine Friedman Thank you for being an awesome teacher. I greatly appreciate you showing me the “little” things that I should do and should not do when taking the driving test. When I took the test, I remembered all of your secrets. I passed on my first try! I thank you very much for being a sweet teacher. I wish you lots of luck for when my brother comes along. ~Amanda Pleasant Picture this, the last student in your family took Driver’s Ed. through the Carroll County School system ad now you have a sixteen-year-old that must take Driver’s Ed. Add to this, you lost a beloved daughter four years earlier in a car accident. The fact that she was the passenger doesn’t make it any easier for you to face. Now where do you go? The yellow pages? A coupon in the mail? I’ll tell you what I did, first of all I watched the cars in traffic I daily encountered for signs that referred to driving schools. I then watched how these cars were driven and all this did was to help me rule out two area schools as ones I would never call. Second, I stopped at the State Police Barracks in Westminster and asked the officer at the desk who he would recommend. He said the police don’t give out recommendations, but after listening to my story he told me he sent his child to Mr. B’s in Hampstead. I am so glad that I spoke to that Trooper! Was it a little out of the way from my home in Westminster? Yes, but it was worth every penny we spent and all the extra time it took to get there. Mr. and Mrs. B treated my daughter like she was their own! She learned not only how to drive and the rules and regulations but respect for the machine she was now operating. They were patient with her and took the extra time when needed to make sure she understood everything. I have a son who will turn sixteen later this year and he is going to no other school but Mr. B’s. I have highly recommended them to all my friends and other parents at my children’s high school. ~Debbie Pleasant In Praise of Mr. B and his Driving School (to be sung to the tune of "American Pie") A short, short time ago... I can still remember how Driver's ed used to make me smile. I learned that if I got a chance That I should take a rearview glance And if I couldn't merge, to wait a while. If February makes you shiver And you encounter minor blizzards, Mr. B shows you how To be safe without a plow. With Mr. B's knowledge inside, You'd stay calm if you battery died. I kept his words inside my mind The day I learned to drive. Soo...Drive, drive with the Master sometime. Drove my Chevy to the beltway just to practice a while, And Mr. B was helping me the whole time, Saying, "This will be the day that you drive, This will be the day that you drive." Do you know his ten commands For when the wheel is in your hands? While the MVA is slow (As I'm sure you all do know) Mr. B's class will go by fast. You'll find that all his wisdom will last. Well, I know that it is hard to trust A stranger's word, but you really must And hey, I wasn't paid To produce this...tirade. Without Mr. B's class I sure was stuck I didn't know how to safely pass a truck Having Mr. B was my great luck The day I learned to drive. And I'm saying, Drive, drive with the Master sometime. Drove my Chevy to the beltway just to practice a while, And Mr. B was helping me the whole time, Saying, "This will be the day that you drive, This will be the day that you drive." -Laura Bradley ~Laura Bradley |
